Everyone turn down your television and if you listen real close, you can hear the planet of Krypton cheering for their native son. We just witnessed the destruction of a dream, unhealthy obsession and life goal and it came in the form of XXXXXL UFC gloves. Frank Mir was right, Shane Carwin is a better version of Brock Lesnar as evidenced by Carwin finishing Mir faster than Brock did at UFC 100.
The beginning of the end was a flurry of seismic upper-cuts that were launched at Frank Mir’s chin late in the first. Getting punched by Shane Carwin must be what this guy felt like when he got his head stuck in a particle accelerator. Whatever forcefield that was protecting Frank Mir’s chin begin to wear off around the 6th upper-cut when Mir begin to slowly collapse to the ground. Shane Carwin managed to swarm over Frank Mir and delivered ground and pound that would make even three-mile island blush. The fight was over…and I sprained my ankle jumping up and down in my apartment. Congrats to our dude Shane Carwin and doing exactly what everyone expected him to do.
