Someone compiled the best of UFC’s slo-mo replays, and it’s a fun, jiggly watch

Sports and slow motion replays have been entangled in each other’s arms like kindred lovers for almost as long as the television medium has been around. They’re perfect for each other. Action packed moments, boiled down to nanoseconds. A 25-minute fight that has 1 second extrapolated into a tangible extended moment, showing the world what went exactly right or exactly wrong. Front and center. Raging Bull really blew me away when I was a kid.

As technology has advanced we’ve been given incredibly detailed replays almost in real-time, and it’s something we almost take for granted. The dirt spitting up behind a player’s cleats as he makes a play. Chunks of grass and brain cells flying on the football field. The droplets of sweat and wiggly cheeks of a fighter.

Thank you, slowed down time creators.
