So it looks like Dan Henderson is going to Strikeforce…

Dan Hendo went from being the next guy in line to bang against Anderson Silva to leaving UFC and potentially signing with Strikeforce (MMAscrapsradio is going to accuse me of taking that line but he’s just bitter because I’m far nicer than him in Tekken). Earlier this month Dan Henderson said his contract negotiations for UFC didn’t look so bright and that if Dana White couldn’t come to terms, Henderson said he would be interested in fighting for Strikeforce.

Tonight, Kevin Iole from Yahoo! Sports spoke with Dana White and Iole reported that “White confirmed he was unable to come to terms with Henderson“. After Hendo’s ridunkulous knockout of Bisping at UFC 100, dude thought that leaving the crowd at the MGM arena in a pile of drool would be enough for him to get a title shot at Anderson Silva. Well Silva’s camp just didn’t feel Henderson earned a title shot at the champ and after UFC 103, Vitor Belfort was next in line to partake in an altercation with Anderson Silva. Hendo threw his ‘WTF dude?’ face on and jumped in the ‘contract negotiation’ cage with Dana…and it ended with this:

“We have a good relationship with Henderson, and there are no hard feelings…He had a figure he believed he was worth, and we had our own figure, and we weren’t able to get together.”

So it looks like Dan is headed to Strikeforce which means that he will fight in Japan once again. Henderson pretty much has a Japanese passport. 21 of his 32 fights have been in Japan and Hendo (which is Japanese for Henderson…just made that up but I’m probably right anyway) went through a 5 year span in which every fight was on Japanese soil (damn we miss Pride).
