So here’s the trailer of ‘Haywire’ starring Gina Carano as an urban-ninja wonderchick

Staring at pictures of Gina Carano is something I do often in the absence of her headlining Strikeforce cards.  I try convincing myself she’s not real; but I know she’s real, because I’ve met her on several occasions, and one time (in Chicago) she touched my leg.  This is totally true and Zeus was there to see it, but too busy trying to get an iPhone snapshot of a blueberry waffle that had exactly 36 chambers at the press-buffet.  That means I’ve gotten further with Gina Carano than the majority of MiddleEasy readers, and Zeus discovered that Wu-Tang’s 36 Chambers Album was one big metaphoric reference to waffles… and both miracles happened synonymously.  Wild.

Since acquiring the UFC, Zuffa’s business model was based on target-marketing an audience of 18-34 year olds.  While stars like Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture did the job of bringing MMA to big-boys still learning to tie a windsor knot, Gina Carano blew the door wide open to everybody outside the expected demographic.  While stepping back from MMA for the past year, Gina’s MMA skillset earned her the main role in Steven Soderbergh’s “Haywire”, a Jason Bournesque, government-train rogue soldier flick that looks more bad-ass than Harry Potter.  For the first time anywhere, you can see the trailer here…
