- Li Jingliang tried to celebrate his latest win by waving the Chinese flag inside the cage but a UFC employee took it
- It is unclear why the UFC decided to ban bringing any flag inside the octagon
Li Jingliang was able to bounce back from the devastating loss to Khamzat Chimaev last year with a stunning KO win over Muslim Salikhov at UFC Long Island. However, the celebration was spoiled a bit as a UFC employee did not let “The Leech” have a moment with the Chinese flag inside the octagon.

Baffled and dismayed
Earlier this year, the UFC banned all of its fighters from bringing in any flag from any country inside the octagon. But the problem is, there’s no concrete reason why. This has left Jingliang baffled and dismayed when the UFC employee grabbed his country’s flag out of his hands.
In a video online, “The Leech” was even seen trying to get the flag back but the staff quickly pounced and took off.

Enough said
As expected, UFC boss Dana White was quizzed for comments in the post-fight presser. However, the media got nothing as White refused to delve into it.
“You guys know why,” White said, “Let’s not even play that f**king game.”
Nevertheless, the win over Salikhov is huge for Jingliang as it was his first victory this year. Currently, the Chinese MMA star is still the No. 14 welterweight in the world but the KO win is likely to be his ticket to a fight against higher-ranked contenders. Let’s see how things will play out for “The Leech.”
