Shinya Aoki will fight a former Muay Thai Champion on October 24th

We really hope that Dream 16 wasn’t the first time you watched Shinya Aoki fight. Although he won dominantly, until you see what he can do to another human if he gets a hold of a limb, you’ve yet to have your mind blown. Besides bringing colorful grappling pants to the forefront of MMA Fashion, Aoki’s rubber-guard has proven to be the most effective in MMA. If Randy Couture had Shinya Aoki’s ground game when he faced James Toney, the end-results would probably look like a Liu Kang fatality from Mortal Kombat.

Dream 16 has come and gone, but our quench for watching Aoki discombobulate his opponent still remains. The Baka Survivor is aware of this and he intends to make everyone happy on October 24th when he fights former WBA flyweight Thai-boxing champion Yokthai Sithoar at DEEP 50. Aoki still plans on fighting at New Years on the Dynamite!! card, but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make another example out of a pure striker turned MMA fighter. The last time Shinya Aoki faced a power-striker turned out to be one of the most gruesome submissions in MMA history, and three weeks from now, expect nothing less from Japan’s favorite Technicolor attraction.
