The past couple of years have not been great to Houston Alexander. It’s been a rough stretch. After blasting through your television set with redunkulous first round knockouts of UFC Veterans Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara, we all had high hopes for the mean looking single Dad from Nebraska. Unfortunately, he went on to lose his next 3 fights in UFC forcing him to take a tune-up fight elsewhere before making an unsuccessful comeback against Kimbo Slice.
Look, we’re a fan of any dude who rescues children from suffocating in a locked car and punches so hard that it makes him cry but let’s face it…Houston had the worst gameplan ever against Kimbo and it cost him his UFC career. He then went on to fight for the 5150 Combat League Heavyweight Title in January, where he lost to the “Mexicutioner”, Joey Beltran. Instead of taking some time to think things over and re-evaluate his mental preparation, it looks like Houston is jumping right back into action this April where he’ll meet Seth Petruzelli as it appears Ken Shamrock has dropped off the face of the earth and is no longer honoring his commitment to fight ‘Silverback’ Seth.
Here’s a message Seth left for the UG last night:
What up UG!! I would Just like to give an update that i received my contract to fight Houston Alexander April 23rd. in mass. live on PPV!! the fight will be for Moosin. ill co-main the card with Tim Sylvia main eventing. Ill be signing contract shortly. The ken fight is on hold till they get sh*t together! I am confident that fight should happen soon as well.
Thank u and piss on butts.
These are 2 guys who have a collective total of 31 fights under their belts, 25 of which have ended in the 1st round. Neither can afford to run laps around the cage if they ever want to truly resurrect their respective careers. We don’t know who wins, but I do know that thanks to prop betting, picking this fight to end in the 1st round looks like a safer bet than the outcome of me vs. Tacos tomorrow night. I’m the -1500 favorite in that match-up. Those tacos have no chance. [Source]
