Last afternoon we told you about Koji Oishi’s superior fist-intercepting abilities and insisted that all of you should watch ONE FC: Rise to Power solely to see what he does next. Some of you actually listened to us, while the rest of you were snugged tightly under your blanket early this morning. To those that did listen to us — you guys are dedicated. If we created a cult, we would appoint you all as high chiefs.
In the main event of ONE FC: Rise to Power, we saw the ONE FC featherweight champion of the world, Honorio Banario, attempt to defend his belt against Pancrase’s Koji Oishi The operative word is ‘attempt,’ however. Banario’s efforts weren’t met with much success when Oishi delivered the overnight right hook directly to Banario’s jaw, Fed-Ex style.
If you look at the .gif, it almost appeared that Oishi intercepted Banario’s left jab with his own right hand. Sure some may call it a parry, but we like to believe that Oishi wanted to break his fists with his own, much like his gameplan for Nick Diaz at UFC 52. Check out the .gif compliments of @Zprophet.
