- Sean Strickland ranted about the Islam religion
- Belal Muhammad responded by mentioning “Tarzan’s” dark past
Sean Strickland made an insensitive comment about the Islam religion and got a shocking response from Belal Muhammad.
Sean with another controversial take
Ahead of his title fight with Dricus du Plessis at UFC 312, “Tarzan” spent some time sharing yet another controversial thought on social media. This time, Strickland argued that Islam people should not be in Christian countries.
“America is a country of Christ. You could be Christian, catholic, atheist BUT our core values is that of Christ. I have nothing against Islam or Muslims…BUT!!!!!!!! Islam should stay in Islamic countries. Although you would all benefit from Christ. I’m agnostic,” the former middleweight champion wrote on X.

Belal hit back hard at Sean
Unsurprisingly, Strickland’s remarks did not sit well with proud Islam Muhammad. As a result, the reigning UFC welterweight champion came up with a harsh response to “Tarzan.”
Muhammad unapologetically fired back by mentioning Strickland’s childhood trauma with his father.
“Wasn’t this the guy crying because his Christian American dad used to touch him,” Muhammad replied.

Muhammad and Strickland have yet to face each other inside the Octagon but “Remember The Name” is very open to the idea. Muhammad previously expressed his desire to move up to middleweight where he would “slap Strickland around” but he plans to defend his title twice first before going to middleweight.
On the other hand, Strickland is already set to take on Du Plessis in a title fight rematch at UFC 312 on Feb. 8th in Sydney, Australia.
