While the entire MMA world is fascinated by the UFC’s signing of former three-time NCAA Division I National Champion Bo Nickal, there is a top-10 middleweight that doesn’t care and, in fact, doesn’t even know who he is.

Who the fu*k is that guy?

On a recent trip to the Thiccc Boy studios with Brendan Schaub, No. 7 ranked middleweight Sean Strickland was asked about Nickal.

“Who the fu*k is Bo Nickal? Bo Nickal? Who is that guy,” Strickland said. “Did he knock a guy out? Did he take him down? What did he do? Bro, I don’t know who the fu*k Bo Nickal is. Penn State? I don’t know what fu*king Penn State is either, man. The fu*k is that? Don’t they, like, molest kids at that fu*king school, dude? Didn’t something bad happen there? I don’t know; you stay in Penn State.”

Strickland might not know who the new UFC signee is, but he better do some research, as the hype is real.

Next fights

Nickal is 3-0 and has finished all of his opponents. Only one opponent has made it past a minute but was submitted in two seconds. Nickal competed twice this season of Dana White’s Contender Series, with his second appearance winning him a UFC contract. The credentialed college wrestler already has his UFC debut set for UFC 282 against Jamie Pickett.

As for Strickland, he was initially scheduled to return this weekend at UFC Vegas 62; however, finger surgery forced him to withdraw. He will now fight Jared Cannonier in the last fight of 2023 on December 17.

With Nickal having so much hype behind him and being in the same division, it wouldn’t be crazy to see him and Strickland fight in the next year.
