Controversial UFC star Sean Strickland targeted Ronda Rousey his latest tirade on social media.

Today, ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rouse is a successful WWE Superstar who just recently captured the Smackdown Women’s Championship at the promotion’s latest premium event, Extreme Rules. MMA fans recognize Rousey as being largely responsible for the inclusion of women in the UFC after years of Dana White insisting women’s MMA would never appear inside the Octagon.

Rousey became an overnight sensation and went on an absolute tear as the UFC’s first female champion. She scored six-straight first-round finishes between 2013 and 2015, delivering one of the most dominant runs of all time. However, it all came crashing down at UFC 193 when Rousey stepped into the Octagon with accomplished boxer Holly Holm. In one of the biggest upsets in UFC history, Holm delivered a jaw-dropping second-round knockout of Rousey.

The loss was an incredibly hard pill for Ronda Rousey to swallow. A year after the devastating loss, ‘Rowdy’ revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that she had suicidal thoughts following the defeat. It was an especially troubling revelation considering Rousey’s own father had committed suicide years prior. Many fans and fighters commended Rousey for being open about her struggle with mental health.

UFC middleweight Sean Strickland had a different take on Rousey’s comments.

Sean Strickland Explains Why He Hates Ronda Rousey

Six years removed from that interview, the often-controversial middleweight took aim at Ronda Rousey, accusing the Olympic bronze medalist of perpetuating the idea that suicide is “cool.”

“I explained why I hate Ronda Rousey, why I find she is everything that’s wrong with the f*cking world,” Strickland said. “[Her Ellen appearance] was on the news, it was f*cking everywhere. I don’t know when suicide became cool but it became cool, like they made a Netflix show ‘13 Reasons.’ Everybody’s f*cking depressed, everybody is suicidal, and let me f*cking tell you guys, it is not f*cking cool. Depression is like cancer, it’s f*cking terminal. It’s like herpes, you might not have it but you always f*cking have it and it’s waiting to f*cking come out.

“Suicidal thoughts, for the people who have it, it’s even f*cking worse. You fixate on it, you dwell on it, you start thinking about how you’re gonna do it. You start thinking about where you’re gonna do it, you start think about how your people are gonna take it, you really fantasize about it and it’s f*cking miserable. It’s not a fleeting thought because you lost a fight. And I hate Ronda Rousey because she used something so fucked up and so serious as a ‘but I overcame it’ strong moment, when it’s f*cking not.”
