He may be a year too late, but Sean Strickland never passes on an opportunity to roast one of his co-workers.
Last year, Aspinall threw fight fans and MMA personality Nina-Marie Daniele a curveball when he asked her during an interview if she had ever been “fingered” by a fighter. Taken aback by the question, Daniele responded with a resounding “no” before Aspinall would go on to ask her what it would take to make it happen.
While he was a little late to the party, Sean Strickland took the opportunity to poke fun at Aspinall’s viral moment.
“I bet this is a banger at the local bar….. no bs man how many times has this worked for you? 2 out of 5? Jokes aside you can see the instant regret lmao!!!!” Strickland wrote on X.

Aspinall was initially slammed by fight fans for his over-the-line inquiry, but the damage was kept to a minimum after Daniele and the interim heavyweight champion shed some light on why he posed the question.
Before filming, Daniele had asked Aspinall a host of unhinged questions, something that has allowed her to stand out from other interviewers in recent years. Daniele has also received a variety of colorful queries from social media users which prompted Aspinall to pose his NSFW question. In short, the whole thing was meant to be a callback to the comments Daniele is regularly flooded with online.
Once she spoke out in defense of Aspinall and made it clear that she was not at all offended, fans largely forgave and forgot.
Strickland and Daniele have grown a close friendship with one another in recent years—much of it consisting of the two taking friendly digs at each other during interviews and on social media. Strickland makes it a habit of mistaking Daniele for being Mexican, knowing full well that she is actually French and Italian.
Daniele, in turn, nearly cost Strickland a nipple while engaging in a Roman Candle fight.
