Sean Strickland condemned the intolerance on social media after seeing ex-U.S. Navy SEAL David Goggins lose his sh*t over a few negative comments on Instagram.
Strickland and Goggins have gone back and forth with one another on social media, each one laying out a challenge to the other with little resolution. It’s been a while since the two have exchanged words online, but Strickland was compelled to comment after a video Goggins posted on Instagram garnered some negative comments.
Recently, Goggins shared a video message from a teenager who is battling cancer. Goggins also captioned the video, writing:
“I know some of you don’t believe in God, I really don’t care if you do or don’t. This is a very powerful message from a young man who believes much bigger than himself.”

Unfortunately, there were a handful of negative reactions to the video which compelled Goggins to post a fiery response.

Sean Strickland Tells People to Go Enjoy ‘Real Life’ and Stop Worrying About the ‘Toxic Cesspool’ That is Instagram
Seeing both the original video and Goggins’ response, Strickland decided to respond and surprisingly, he didn’t completely tear into Goggins. Instead, he stressed that there were far more positive comments than negative ones in the aforementioned post and that social media is nothing more than a “toxic cesspool” that “corrupts your brain.”
In short, enjoy real life and stop concerning yourselves with what a bunch of hate-mongers have to say online.
“Alright, so David Goggins posted this video, and he’s losing his damn mind,” Strickland said. “Anyway, the gist of the video he posted was somebody who is dying of cancer. And this guy has deep faith in God, and I respect that. [The video has] millions and millions of views and a few negative comments. Statistically speaking, you wouldn’t even take it into a study how small that percentage is.
“Social media is not real, man, you guys need to understand this. These lives you see, these people you see, they are not real… This toxic cesspool of Instagram, it f*cking corrupts your brain. Social media is not real, guys. Real life is real[ly] nice.”
