Strickland caused a stir at the Tuff-N-Uff event. He was not scheduled to fight but entered the cage after his teammate Miles Hunsinger lost.
Nevada deputy attorney general Matthew Feeley outlined the event.
“In connection with the June 29, 2025 contest held in Las Vegas, NV, which the respondent was not participating in as a combatant,” Feeley said during the meeting. “The respondent engaged in a physical altercation with a contestant immediately after the contestant’s bout.”
The Nevada Athletic Commission lengthened his suspension on July 23, 2025. Strickland cannot compete or corner fights until the August hearing. He attacked Luis Hernandez, who submitted Hunsinger and taunted Strickland’s team, leading to punches before security intervened.

Hernandez escaped serious injury. The commission aims to review video evidence and statements at the hearing.
Sean Strickland, 34, has a 29-6 record. He captured the UFC middleweight title with a win over Israel Adesanya in September 2023 but lost it to Dricus Du Plessis in January 2024.
His latest fight was a decision loss to Du Plessis on February 8, 2024, at UFC 312. Strickland trains at Xtreme Couture and often speaks his mind, earning a reputation for bold actions.
