Sean Strickland and Bryce Mitchell Bond Over Their Hatred of Elon Musk’s Cybertruck, ‘Tarzan’ Teases Potential Reunion with Ex-Friend Chris Curtis

Strickland seemingly agreed with Mitchell's scathing assessment of the contentious stainless steal vehicle.

Sean Strickland is ready to storm the capital with Bryce Mitchell

While it’s safe to say that everyone had already completed their Christmas shopping by December 25, the former middleweight titleholder still had a few gift suggestions for those looking to really Americanize the holiday season this year.

“There is only 1 holiday on December 25 in America and it’s Christmas,” he wrote on X. “Go buy a gun and a truck and then thank baby Jesus for creating America for you godless heathens…”

One user on X responded to Strickland’s suggestion by tagging him with an old video of Mitchell expressing his opinion about the ridiculously overpriced Tesla Cybertruck and its creator, Elon Musk.

Despite owning a Tesla himself — though not a Cybertruck — Strickland seemed to agree with Mitchell’s message that the $82,000 vehicle was both overpriced and impractical for blue-collar Americans.

“My god I’ve never felt so American in my f*cking life…. After watching this ill storm any capital with this man….. @ThugnastyMMA.”

Have Sean Strickland and Chris Curtis Patched Things Up?

In another interesting turn of events, Strickland was spotted posing for a picture with his Xtreme Couture teammates in Las Vegas, including former friend Chris Curtis

Once upon a time, Strickland and Curtis appeared destined for a lifelong friendship, but it all came crashing down in July when their opposing political beliefs appeared to be the straw that finally broke the camel’s back.

Of course, the reason for their split varies depending on which one you talk to.

“For those wondering, I believe there is a certain amount of respect that you give to those who support you,” Curtis wrote in a since-deleted post on X. “When that respect is not reciprocated, it doesn’t matter who it is, those people can no longer be involved in your inner circle. It’s that simple. Life goes on guys.”

However, Strickland chalked the whole thing up to a dispute during a training session.

“Weakness is cancer man, literally it spreads through the gym like a virus…. It effects everyone… I can be pretty hard,” he shared on social media. “Probably too militant But Curt wanted to drill during sparring and I said no do it on your own time and his lost it. Very gay… Curt we miss you.”

Seeing the two fighters standing close together and flashing smiles in the above post immediately led to speculation that the band may be back together. Neither fighter has commented on the photo, but one user on Instagram claimed that Strickland and Curtis continue to remain “distant” despite their cheerful demeanor in the snapshot.

Curtis will help the UFC kick off its 2025 on January 11 with a high-stakes scrap against Russian standout Roman Kopylov. Meanwhile, Strickland will look to become a two-time titleholder when he runs it back with reigning 185-pound champion Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 312 in Sydney Australia.
