Sean Strickland found himself in a social media argument with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s Twitter account.

Strickland has recently returned to Twitter, where he’s been creating chaos one post at a time. The UFC middleweight’s newest target was BKFC, which is coming off a thrilling event in KnuckleMania 3. In the co-main event, MMA legend Diego Sanchez lost a grueling war against Austin Trout in their bare-knuckle debuts.

Strickland reacted to Sanchez’s loss on Twitter by saying:

“When will beating up @DiegoSanchezUFC be treated as beating up a retard lmao. At some point you gotta look in the mirror and think “I just fucked up a mentally ill man” lol!!!! @bareknucklefc = POS… CLOWN SHOW….”

One fan responded by saying Strickland shouldn’t insult his future employer, implying the UFC middleweight might sign with BKFC in the future. The bare-knuckle promotion responded to the fan by saying:

“Even we wouldn’t sign @SStricklandMMA , we got better taste than that!”

It’s unclear who runs the BKFC Twitter account, leaving Strickland unaware of who he’s arguing with. The 31-year-old fired two more insults at the bare-knuckle promotion before moving on:

“You sign old fighters who should retire and call it a fight. Your organization is a clown show…. and you know if this conversation was in person you wouldn’t make eye contact with me.   Lmao welcome to the internet tough guy..”

“Lmao bro we all know @bareknucklefc spent all their money signing Paige Vanzant lmao!!! “Come on guys watch us, look we signed a only fans model who cant fight” while the real warriors are making nothing lol clown show…”

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s Twitter account says they respect Sean Strickland

Whoever runs the BKFC Twitter account responded to Sean Strickland’s insults by making a joke about his first-round knockout loss against Alex Pereira. After a fan questioned them for ‘clowning’ the UFC fighter, the anonymous BKFC employee responded by saying:

“Clowning” never, Sean is a fighter, warrior and have all respect in the world for him and his career. Going back and forth on Twitter with him is al .”

After losing to Pereira at UFC 276, Strickland lost a close split decision to Jared Cannonier in December. One month later, the 31-year-old capitalized on a short-notice opportunity and defeated Nassourding Imavov by unanimous decision. The number seven-ranked UFC middleweight is now looking to work his way to a title shot.
