Sean O’Malley has been trying to slide into Hawk Tuah’s DM’s.
The former bantamweight champion has been more than open with fight fans regarding his open relationship with long-time girlfriend Danya Gonzalez and the “dope threesomes” they’ve had over the years.
“Everyone’s definition of an open relationship is different,” O’Malley told the Full Send Podcast. “I like to think of ours as just an open-minded relationship where we don’t own each other. I don’t own her, and she doesn’t own me.
“When I first met Danya, I told her, ‘I don’t know why anyone would fuck the same chick for the rest of their life, I can’t do that.’ So she knew she wasn’t in love with a phony me. We’ve had some dope threesomes. Every relationship should be okay with it, that just needs to happen.”
O’Malley’s freedom to pursue other women recently landed him in the DMs of Hailey Welch, best known as the Hawk Tuah girl. Welch’s viral ‘spit on that thang’ video spread like wildfire on social media and made her a celebrity overnight.

Welch Says Sean O’Malley is ‘So Nice’ After Revealing He DM’d Her
She has 2.6 million followers on Instagram, 1.8 million followers on TikTok, and over 171,000 subscribers on YouTube. She also launched her own podcast appropriately titled ‘Talk Tuah‘ which has become one of the most listened-to programs on the web.
Of course, that level of popularity often comes with a few caveats—like getting relentlessly DM’d by thirsty MMA fighters.
“You said UFC fighter, right?” Welch said on a recent episode of her podcast. “What is that fella’s name that has been messaging me all week? O’Malley boy? He has a kid, don’t he? He’s so nice, he’s just like, ‘What are you doing?’. When he first DM’d me I had like five missed calls from him on Instagram — I didn’t even know you could do that!”

O’Malley suffered the 135-pound crown at UFC 306 in September, suffering a decisive unanimous decision loss against Merab Dvalishvili in the evening’s main event.
Since then, ‘Sugar’ has undergone surgery to repair a torn labrum and is expected to be laid up for several months.
