A Sean O’Malley vs. Adrian Yanez matchup will happen down the line, according to ‘The Suga Show.’

Sick boxing

Yanez is coming off a big win at UFC Austin when he knocked out Tony Kelley in the first round of their grudge match. O’Malley had his eyes on the fight and complimented Yanez on his slick boxing.

“I had a parlay with Tony Kelley, I had a feeling maybe he’d fu*king win. But Adrian Yanez has sick boxing,” O’Malley said on his podcast. “I think Kelley said he was a wannabe [Jorge] Masvidal and he definitely has a similar Masvidal style, kind of looks like him too. But he has sick boxing and he’s fun as fu*k to watch too. He has a bunch of good finishes. He called me out after the fight. That’s definitely will happen in the future. That’s a sick fu*king fight.”

A fight that could have happened

O’Malley revealed that Yanez had the opportunity to fight him, but unfortunately, they both got a matchup.

“I did ask for that fight. On Twitter, you can go back I called him out a couple times but for whatever reason it didn’t happen. It will happen in the future,” O’ Malley said.

Tim Welch, O’Malley’s head coach, added that there was time to book the fight but took Yanez’z replies as a sign that he didn’t want the fight.

When the fight eventually does happen, it will be an epic fight.

UFC 276

O’Malley returns to action in two weeks at UFC 276 in the biggest fight of his career thus far. He fights Pedro Munhoz, and with a win, ‘Suga’ will crack the top 10.
