UFC star Sean O’Malley has given his opinion on the ongoing situation between the promotion and several well known fighters.
In recent weeks, Ronda Rousey has been vocal after confirming her return fight against Gina Carano on May 16. She has publicly criticized the UFC and its leadership, including Dana White and Hunter Campbell.
At the same time, Jon Jones continues to deal with his own issues with the promotion and has even spoken about wanting to leave.
Another major name, Conor McGregor, is also still in talks about his return, with no clear plan confirmed.
O’Malley questions fighters going against the promotion
Speaking on his podcast, O’Malley reacted to the situation and made it clear that he finds it surprising to see so many top fighters speaking out at the same time.
“It’s crazy to see all these top guys have an issue with the UFC, Ronda is obviously not in the UFC anymore but talking s— about it,” he said. “Conor, the biggest star of all time having issues with the UFC, Jon Jones, the GOAT, having issues with the UFC, it’s crazy.
“Who would Conor, Jones and Ronda be without the UFC? Could they have been successful in other ventures? Yes. Could they have made as much money? Probably not. It’s weird, if they feel like they’re being treated unfairly, speak up.
“You’ve got to be grateful for what you’ve gotten from the UFC.”

The situation shows a clear divide. Some fighters are openly critical, while others continue to support the promotion.
Rousey is promoting her upcoming fight in a different organization and has taken a strong stance. Jones is still in the middle of uncertainty about his future. McGregor remains in discussions about his next move.
Each case is different, but all have added to the current conversation around the UFC.
O’Malley has built his career inside the UFC and is one of the promotion’s active stars today.
While debate continues between fighters and the organization, O’Malley has chosen to stand with the UFC and highlight what it has done for athletes over the years.
