A sincere apology from Sean
O’Malley came in mentally and physically prepared against Dvalishvili but the fight turned out to be harder than he expected at Noche UFC. Instead of taking “The Machine” out like he claimed, “Suga” struggled to beat his challenger, especially on the ground.
The fight went to distance and Dvalishvili was declared the winner via unanimous decision, having decisively won four out of five rounds.

Sean is determined to work on his takedown defense
O’Malley is well aware that Dvalishvili’s takedowns played a key role in his defeat. “The Machine” was able to take “Suga” down six times which helped convinced the judges.
Determined to bounce back stronger, O’Malley immediately worked on the hole in his game. In a video clip, the now-former bantamweight champion could be seen practicing some takedown defense stances.

A rematch has yet to be confirmed at this point but judging by how things look, it appears that O’Malley would be pushing for a second showdown with Dvalishvili. Until then, “The Machine” will celebrate the biggest win of his MMA career.
