Saffiedine vs. Lim almost ended in one of the craziest comebacks ever, but it didn’t

If ‘onlys’ and ‘justs’ were candies and nuts, then everyday would be un de Donkfest. That’s the major takeaway from Saffiedine vs. Lim, a match in which Tarec, the final Strikeforce welterweight champion, had his way with Lim for over twenty minutes. Yes, twenty long minutes of leg kicks, flying knees and just about everything Tarec could throw at Lim that belonged in his moveset for this release. The domination was such that Lim was buckling under those swift and oft-mentioned leg kicks of Saffiedine, until Lim realized he was a mutant, screamed out in pain and or glory, then started billowing forward, throwing bombs that landed on Tarec’s face. Tarec stumbled, dazed, and Lim continued to pound away as the clock ran out.

On the scorecards it will always look like a one-sided beatdown, but we know better, oh yes, we know better (at least in the last few seconds, it was pretty much domination before that and it could be argued the fight should’ve been stopped long before this replay).
