Rumor: Fedor in the UFC! Fighting Brock by the end of the year.

Yep. MiddleEasy.com is going to have to take down Top Ten Reasons why Fedor vs. Brock will NEVER happenbecause it just did. After experiencing quite possibly the worst week in MMA, the MMA gods smile down and have blessed us with something that only a few days ago would have seemed like an absolute impossibility.

Fedor has signed with the UFC and will meet Brock Lesnar by the end of the year!

You did not read that wrong (unless you’re dyslexic, in which case you probably did. What are you doing on the site? You can’t even read that). Following the legendary collapse of Affliction, Dana White and M-1 Global have come to an agreement to let Fedor fight in the UFC under a rumored 3 fight contract starting of course with Brock Lesnar and ending in two title defenses: One with the winner of Cain/Carwin and the other (and possibly the final fight of Fedor’s MMA career) a rematch with Cro Cop. LA Times broke the story and it seems like the entire internet has latched on to this news like my ex-girlfriend latched on to the overdraft in my bank account for nearly two years.

Ron Kruck just wrapped up an interview with Fedor and he did not reveal what organization he would sign with (Strikeforce of UFC) but he did confirm that he will fight again this year. Couple that with Dana White’s statement that Fedor will get an instant title shot if he joins the UFC and you can only come to the conclusion that Fedor will fight Brock Lesnar by the end of the year. Fedor will hold a press conference tomorrow (Wednesday) and Dana White will hold one on Friday. [Source] [Source] [Source]
