Rumbe Johnson never competed at welterweight — don’t believe what you’ve read on the internet. MMA history is trolling us. Some guy named Anthony Johnson supposedly fought at 170 lbs, but we’re pretty sure Rumble Johnson ate him at some point in 2011. Anthony Johnson is no more. Only a Rumble Johnson that is forever expanding — like the universe.
We don’t know when Rumble Johnson will stop growing and decide on a weight class, but as long as he’s signed up to fight Phil Davis at UFC 172, we’re cool with light heavyweight
