Roy Jones Jr. happily accepts Anderson Silva’s challenge to fight him inside a boxing ring

Let’s not forget, Anderson Silva vs. Roy Jones Jr. was originally on the table four years ago to be held as an MMA match, but Dana White quickly shot the idea down in an interview with CBS Sports.

“You won’t see a Silva versus Jones fight while Silva is under contract with me. I don’t want to say anything bad about Roy Jones, I like Roy Jones and was a fan of his, but he mattered like fifteen years ago. He’s not anywhere near the best boxer in the world. He must’ve spent all his money.”

We’re not sure if Roy Jones has indeed spent all of the millions he made while boxing. According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, the guy is still worth $45 million. However, we do know that he played Captain Ballard in The Matrix Reloaded and assisted in stopping the machines from completely taking over Zion, a task that not even Anderson Silva has accomplished.

Regardless, Anderson Silva still wants to fight Roy Jones Jr. — and in this TMZ interview, it appears that Roy Jones Jr. is still up for the challenge.
