Rowdy Roddy Piper says there are a couple of problems with MMA, and he’s probably right

It’s weird to see anyone headlining an MMA article other than Ronda Rousey with the nickname “Rowdy” superseding their real name. Disregard for a moment that Roddy Piper was around far longer than Ronda, unless you’re a pro-wrestling fan and you remember this guy back when you still thought pro wrestling was real, it’s a bit unusual. That being said, let’s take an imaginary time machine back to our childhood and pretend MMA never existed. We’d probably still be watching pro wrestling and thinking it was real. Most of us would probably look like this guy. Some might actually look like that guy. It’s OK, you don’t have to cry. MiddleEasy is still real.

For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, or who “Rowdy” Roddy Piper is… He is a battle-tested veteran of pro wrestling responsible for some of the most memorable moments in sports entertainment history. He’s the Sakuraba of imaginary combat, the Keyser Soze of 90’s films, the Ghostface Killa of Wu-Tang (alright, that’s a stretch, but you get the point).

Here he is, doing something we’ve never seen him do before. In an interview with Fighters.com, Roddy Piper discusses MMA and suggests that there are two problems with the sport. Obviously, the first one is true or the all new “Street MMA” section of MiddleEasy wouldn’t exist, and the second… Well, it’s not that far-fetched either. Watch out analysts: Roddy drops knowledge.
