Add Ronda Rousey to the list of names showing their support to Cain Velasquez.
Velasquez could face a minimum of 20 years in prison if found guilty after he was arrested Monday for attempted murder among five other charges.
The former UFC heavyweight champion was actually in pursuit of a man who allegedly molested a family member believed to be Velasquez’s daughter possibly “100 times.” However, Velasquez ended up shooting another man who was in the same car on the arm.
It’s an unfortunate situation for Velasquez who was arrested and later arraigned on Wednesday with the arraignment set to continue on Monday. He has a court hearing set for March 23 and will remain in the Santa Clara County jail.
Ronda Rousey Would Have Done The Same Thing
Since the details surrounding Velasquez’s motives were revealed, many in the combat sports world have shown their support to their fellow fighter.
The justice system failed Cain Valasquez and his family … any normal man would do the same . If the justice system did their job properly he wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do what he did . My heart is with him and his loved ones and I stand with them . #FreeCain

The #FreeCain hashtag continues to gain traction while a number of fighters as well as UFC president Dana White are clearly on his side in this situation.
Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion and current WWE superstar Rousey also came to Velasquez’s defense as she revealed she would have done the same thing.
She may have even done worse.
“I would have done the same thing if not worse #freeCainVelasquez”

It’s hard to disagree with any of that as while Velasquez should have not taken the law into his own hands, nobody can say they wouldn’t do the same until it happens to them.
