Ronda Rousey, a former UFC champion, shared her body transformation six months after giving birth to her second daughter. In an Instagram video, she showed her progress, thanking MMA training for her recovery. She credited her team for helping her get back in the cage. Her story has inspired fans, though she has no plans to fight again.

Rousey’s Fitness After Baby

Rousey gave birth to her second daughter, Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne, in January 2025. Six months later, she posted a video training in an MMA cage, looking strong and fit.

“Here’s a little update on how the post baby recovery is going. Thank you @dangarnernutrition for helping me reclaim my bodily identity from my 2nd pregnancy. Thank you @rickylundell @babyfacebenoit @abletowill and @aj_mma for gettin my ass back in a cage again,” Rousey wrote on Instagram. “Please reserve your judgement for my messy room and smeared mirror, I just had a baby and am too tired to clean that sh*t up.”

She said MMA training made her feel healthier than after her first pregnancy, when she only did gym workouts.

“I’ve heard recovery for the 2nd baby is easier than the first so maybe it’s partially due to that, but being able to train MMA again made such a huge difference this time – like my joints feel tighter and I just feel healthier and more sturdy compared to just doing regular gym lifting/cardio workouts like I did to recover from my first pregnancy,” she continued. “It’s been a blast finding joy in training again, I missed it, my body missed it.”

Ronda Rousey, a 38-year-old from California, has a 12-2 MMA record, with 9-2 in the UFC. She was the first female UFC fighter in 2012 and won the bantamweight title, defending it six times. Known for her judo skills, she earned a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics. She lost her title to Holly Holm in 2015 and retired after losing to Amanda Nunes in 2016. Rousey then joined WWE, winning titles from 2018 to 2019 and 2022 to 2023. She left WWE in 2023 and wrestled in independent promotions.

Rousey faced concussions from her MMA career that affected her memory. After her first child, La’akea, born in September 2021, she struggled with her body transformation, sharing photos to motivate others. Her second pregnancy recovery went better, thanks to MMA training with coaches Ricky Lundell, Ryan Benoit, A.J. Matthews, and Abel Yanez. She has ruled out a full-time WWE return but might work with friend Shayna Baszler. No UFC comeback is planned, as she focuses on family with husband Travis Browne, a former UFC fighter.

Rousey enjoys training but has no plans to compete in MMA or wrestling full-time. She keeps sharing her fitness journey, inspiring mothers and athletes. Living on a farm with Browne and their two daughters, she balances family and health. Fans have praised her body transformation, sending support online.
