Ronda Rousey Says Khamzat Chimaev Is ‘Just Hating’ After UFC Loyalty Criticism And Fires Back With ‘Unlike Kumquat, I Have A Hundred Percent Finish Rate’

Rousey said she owes TKO’s UFC nothing, then mocked Chimaev’s wrestling-heavy style and pointed to her perfect MMA finishing record.

Ronda Rousey did not just answer Khamzat Chimaev. She separated her loyalty to Dana White and the Fertitta family from the modern UFC, then dragged Chimaev’s style and pointed straight at her perfect finishing record.

A Happy Punch clip showed Rousey being asked about fighters like Chimaev criticizing her for attacking the UFC after everything the promotion did for her career. The question framed it this way:

Fighters like Khamzat Chimaev, who was on camera criticizing, saying that you’re essentially biting the hand that fed you.

Rousey answered by making a clear split between Dana White, the Fertitta brothers, and the current UFC ownership structure.

I owe Dana and the Fertittas immensely, and I would be caught dead before you ever heard me say a bad thing about any of them. But my loyalty is to them and not the company they sold, and I do not owe TKO’s UFC a damn thing.

Then she turned the heat directly on Chimaev.

F*cking cleft lip Lincoln is just hating because at his press conference for his fight people are asking about me and my fight because no one gives a sh*t about his ineffectual wrestle f*ckfest. People are actually, they can’t stop talking about this fight because it’s so stacked and they’re actually excited to see me fight because unlike Kumquat, I have a hundred percent finish rate.

Rousey’s Finish-Rate Line Checks Out Against Chimaev’s Record

Rousey’s finish-rate flex is accurate for her professional MMA wins. She is 12-2, with all 12 victories coming by stoppage. Her win column includes nine submissions and three knockouts, with zero decision wins.

Chimaev’s record is still violent on paper, but it does not match that exact stat. He is listed at 15-1 in professional MMA, with six knockouts, six submissions, and three decision wins. That gives him 12 finishes in 15 victories, not a 100 percent finish rate.

The wrestling shot also comes from a real place in Chimaev’s background. He is a three-time Swedish national wrestling champion, and his game has always leaned heavily on pressure, control, and grappling dominance.

Rousey’s UFC history is why this exchange carries more weight than a random fight-week insult. She was the first UFC women’s bantamweight champion, defended the belt six times, and helped push women’s MMA into the UFC’s pay-per-view machine. She has also been openly critical of the promotion’s current fighter treatment while building toward her Netflix fight with Gina Carano.

The Fertitta brothers, Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, were part of the UFC’s old ownership group through Zuffa. The UFC was sold to WME-IMG in 2016, years before the company later became part of TKO Group Holdings. That is the business split Rousey was pointing to when she said her loyalty is to Dana White and the Fertittas, not TKO’s UFC.

Chimaev has been tied to his own headlines after the UFC 328 fallout, including his post-fight handshake explanation after Sean Strickland. This time, the attention came from Rousey using his own criticism as the runway for a very personal counterpunch.
