It’s safe to say Joe Rogan had his mind blown after the UFC 279 main event.
The longtime UFC commentator witnessed history last weekend, as Stockton superstar Nate Diaz completed the final fight of his UFC contract. The Stockton superstar would leave the promotion with nothing but style as he became the first man to submit Tony Ferguson, all on a days notice.
2:09
Like he has done previously in his career, Diaz would flex his arms as he locked in a tight guillotine at UFC 279. But this wasn’t the only thing that made Diaz’s last fight in the Octagon iconic.
If you looked closely, you’d see the fight was about to be stopped at ‘2:09’ on the clock. 209 is the area code for Stockton, the home of the legendary Diaz brothers.
Are We In A Simulation?
Many were able to spot it, including Joe Rogan. It wouldn’t take long for him react to the insane coincidence.
“I’m starting to think that maybe we really are in a simulation,” Rogan said of Diaz’s perfectly-timed submission win.
We probably aren’t living in the ‘Matrix’ but given Nate Diaz’s freak ‘209’ occurrence, perhaps we should all take some time to think about it.
