Since I’ve already told you guys my favorite Las Vegas Matt Lindland story (and gave you guys proof that I was in fact kicking it with hot chicks), I guess I need to tell you my favorite Robbie Lawler story. My favorite Robbie Lawler story is non-existent because I don’t have one (just like the $40 I had in my pocket before my friend Eddie thought going to the ‘Gentlemen’s Club’ at 1am was a great idea last night). However I can tell you that when he KOd Joey Villasenor in Pride FC with that insane flying knee, that pretty much landed him on the map. Now it looks like Lawler doesn’t want the fight Strikeforce slated for him with Jacare Souza and instead, wants to bang against Matt Lindland. Check out Monte Cox speak as if he were two people in his interview with MMAFanhouse:
“I’m not interested in that fight,” Cox said. “I would rather fight [Matt] Lindland, someone who would stand up and show us what we can do.”
“I think Lindland is a great styles match-up for us,” Cox said. “He’s done a ton of stuff, he’s always been ranked in the top-10. He’s just a rugged, tough guy. But I think Robbie is better than him standing.”
