Holy crap, Rich Franklin went through with it, he got a freaking tattoo. Remember the ‘loser gets a tattoo’ bet that Forrest Griffin mentioned in passing leading up to 126? Well, Ace took it seriously, today he marched down to the local tattoo parlor and got what the kids call ‘ink‘. Here is Forrest Griffin’s take on this whole fiasco:
“I don’t believe it,” “We didn’t even shake hands on it. I definitely would not be getting it if I lost. I’d be like, ‘Yeah, yeah, of course,’ but then if I lost, you would have to knock me out to get me in that chair.”
“Once Randy [Couture] got a tattoo, I wanted Stephan [Bonnar] to get one next,” “I’m trying to be the last boring guy left with no tattoos by getting everybody else to get one.”
“If he really gets it, I’ll pay for his tattoo removal,” “I did get the win [bonus] money. I got a couple extra bucks so I guess I can take care of it if he wants to get rid of it.”
So what did Rich get permanantly etched into his flesh? MMAFighting talked to his manager JT Stewart and it turns out he got a dragon. Stewart added:
“I tried to talk him into getting Forrest on his ankle. He said no,”
