Bigfoot Silva’s second trip to AA was in his home county of Brazil, coming off a year suspension for elevated testosterone and a split-decision loss in epic fashion to Mark Hunt. It’s difficut to trace the MMA Math, but after he beat Fedor, Bigfoot Silva punched his own chin multiple times. Then Cormier knocked him out, then Cain bloodied and battered him, but somehow he stood toe to toe with Mark Hunt for 25 minutes, so maybe PEDs really do help your chin?
Or maybe AA looked that good tonight, sticking an moving, creating distance with superior speed, and in general partying like it was 2005.
Brilliant performance by Andrei. Perhaps his best in 5 years at least.
But what now? Will AA face the winner of Hunt/Nelson? Keep in mind AA already beat Nelson (he was the last guy to knock Big Country out) and Ben Rothwell… Eff it – if we need to see a rematch, we want Andrei to fight Anthony Johnson again.
