Report: Bethe Correia Vs. Irene Aldana Slated For UFC 227

Former women’s bantamweight title challenger Bethe Correia is returning to action against Mexican fighter Irene Aldana at UFC 227, per recent reports by Combate.

Correia who’s ranked at 10th in the official UFC rankings for women’s bantamweight didn’t compete since getting knocked out via head kick by Holly Holm at UFC Fight Night 111 last year in June. The Brazilian striker holds a record of 10-3-1.

Aldana, 30, joined the UFC in late 2016 and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Talita Bernardo this past January at UFC Fight Night 124. The Mexican fighter is 1-2 in her UFC run and 8-4 in her professional MMA career.

UFC 227 is set to take place on August 4th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The main headliner features a bantamweight title rematch between current champion T.J. Dillashaw and former titleholder Cody Garbrandt.
