REPORT: Anderson Silva Just Wants to, You Know, Talk to His Family First

LAS VEGAS, February 2, 2015 – “Dad, stop, you no fight more” became Anderson Silva’s mantra this past weekend after the enthralling five-round scrap with Nick Diaz at UFC 183. The quote, paraphrased from his son Calliou, became the only thing that he responded to just about every question with, outside of “I don’t know, I go home, I talk to my family first.”

We saw this at the UFC 183 press conference where Anderson Silva was bombarded with questions as to what the future might hold for the pushing-40 years old former Middleweight Champion, many looking to the future and a possible rematch with Chris Weidman. Anderson Silva, though, just wants the world to know that his 17 year old son cried and wants him to stop fighting and Anderson seems steadfast in seeing what his family wants him to do.
