Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao Misses Weight By More Than Five pounds At UFC Sao Paulo
UFC Fight Night 137 is set to go down this Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil. The event’s main card airs on FS1 at 10:30 p.m. ET, while the preliminary card bouts start at 8:30 p.m. ET on FS1 and the undercard kicks off at 6:45 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass.
All the fighters stepped on the weight scale on Friday morning to get themselves ready for their Saturday’s bouts. The former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao who misses weight badly.
Barao supposed to make the 135-pound limit for his UFC Sao Paulo showdown against newcomer Andre Ewell this Saturday, and even with the one-pound allowance, Barao failed on the scale.

The fight will go on with Barao will forfeit 30 percent of his purse to Ewell. Renan (34-6, one no-contest), who had weight-cutting problems in the past, only won two of six fights since dropping the UFC title to T.J. Dillashaw back in 2014.
