Sit back in your Wal-Mart swively chair and think about the time in MiddleEasy history when we published a story about a $6,000,000,000 gym in Singapore. The gym actually isn’t $6,000,000, but it’s built on a multi-billion dollar facility that exists entirely on an island off the southern coast of Singapore. Filled with theme parks, lush rainforest gardens and the world’s largest oceanarium lies Resorts World at Sentosa, the home of Evolve MMA. It’s also the place that I will call home for a few weeks starting tomorrow. Yes, I will be traveling to Singapore tomorrow to practice my hand-tapping abilities when I roll with Shinya Aoki. It’s an amazing thing to say, and even more amazing knowing that it’s absolutely true (the traveling to Singapore part, not tapping to Aoki — although I’ll use my running abilities to avoid him).
While I’m out there, I’ll be keeping you guys up-to-date on the MMA scene out in Singapore, along with the exact number of adult beverages Shinya Aoki, Chatri Sityodtong and I will consume.
