Raul Rosas Jr. made history on Saturday night as the youngest fighter to make their promotional debut at UFC 282. At just 18-years-old, ‘El Nino Problema’ stepped into the Octagon against 10-6 bantamweight Jay Perrin. Losing in his first two appearances under the UFC banner, Perrin looked to spoil the coming-out party for Rosas Jr. at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Round 1

Perrin kicks off the striking with a solid left followed by a jab. Rosas Jr. shoots in for a single leg, lifting Perrin off the ground, and wrestles him to the mat, taking his back in the process. Perrin gets to his feet and attempts to shake Rosas Jr. off, but is unable to do so. Perrin drops to the mat and Rosas Jr. maintains control of his back, fishing for a rear-naked choke. Perrin continues to hand fight, but before long, Rosas Jr. is able to cinch his arm under the chin of Perrin and ‘The Joker’ has no choice, but to tap out in round one.

Official Result: Raul Rosas Jr. def. Jay Perrin via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:00 of Round 1
