Rampage Jackson vs. Roy Jones Jr. inside of a boxing ring by the end of 2013, my god…

People, don’t act like you wouldn’t want to see Rampage Jackson inside of a boxing ring with Roy Jones Jr. Actually, forget the fight — just imagine the amount of smack talk that would be produced between these two. There would be absolutely no need for any shred of marketing — save the cash Viacom. Just schedule a media conference call every day leading up to the fight and let the combat sports media hype the match for you.

MMA Junkie’s Steve Marrocco stumbled on another story in his endless pursuit of gaining arcane fight knowledge. Seriously, every phone call I have with this guy feels like an inquisition in order to rip my soul and extract every ounce of knowledge I’ve acquired in life.

It appears Viacom plans to have Bellator’s Rampage Jackson fight Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing match by the end of the year. The bout will air on PPV and the weight class has been undetermined.

We finally have an MMA fighter crossing over to boxing as opposed to the inverse, something that the combat sports community has been lacking the past few years. Let’s hope this leads to a fight against James Toney, a guy that has labeled Rampage Jackson as a ‘black redneck’ — whatever that means.
