Rampage Jackson is confident that Mike Tyson would be focused and serious about beating Jake Paul.
Rampage thinks Mike wants to take Jake out
Tyson previously said that he might be high off weed when he faces Paul inside the ring. However, Jackson isn’t buying it as the UFC legend is convinced that “Iron Mike” is eager to silence “The Problem Child” in their upcoming boxing match.
“I’d never bet against Mike Tyson, he’s my favorite boxer. Father Time [is] undefeated… Anything can happen in the boxing ring but I ain’t gonna go against Mike Tyson,” Jackson told TMZ Sports. “… Tyson probably just talking sh*t… He probably disciplined man, you know what I’m saying, he probably going to be disciplined, he probably want to shut that kid up.”
Rampage says weed doesn’t help athletes
Unlike other professional athletes, Jackson doesn’t think smoking marijuana before competing is good. Though he doesn’t consider it a banned substance, the former UFC light heavyweight champion is not in favor of smoking during fight night.
“It’s a disadvantage. it shouldn’t be banned in combat sports but I feel like fighters and athletes shouldn’t smoke weed before the competition… I don’t see it helping them out, only hurting them but that’s just my own personal opinion…. Maybe they trying to protect the fighters I don’t know [why they ban weed] maybe they know that it’s not good for them. I don’t know. I have no idea but you know how it go you know I’m saying, bureaucracy,” Jackson said.
Tyson is giving away a massive age disadvantage but he sounded confident about ending Paul’s career. The 58-year-old has not fought professionally for almost two decades.
Paul vs. Tyson will take place on Nov. 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas and will be streamed live and free on Netflix.
