Talk about superlative takedown defense,I haven’t seen that many missed shots the Bulls game a few nights ago. Rampage Jackson went out to the Octagon tonight and completely outclassed his opponent in Matt Hamill, forcing him to go 0-16 for takedowns, something the dude usually hits 72% of. In turn, Rampage set out to picking apart Hamill on the feet with what he later revealed to be a broken hand. Throwing combinations to the body and head, splitting open Hamill’s lip and looking highly motivated in doing so for 3 rounds.
In the grand scheme of things I have no idea what this unanimous decision win means for the upper echelon of the light heavyweight division. Is it Rampage vs the winner of Rashad/Davis? Or does Rampage fight an uninjured Bones Jones now? Why isn’t Rashad fighting Bones? Quinton vs Jon is a fight I would probably watch…I don’t know how marketable it is though.
