Rampage Jackson and Dana White traded friendly words at Brand Risk 14, which is not nothing when Jackson has previously accused the UFC of changing his contract after his Chuck Liddell payday.
The clip was posted by Jed I. Goodman on X and showed Jackson greeting the UFC boss with:
“What’s up Uncle Dana? How you doing?” White answered, “How you doing?” before adding, “Good to see you.” White also told Jackson, “Congrats on everything, man,” and, “You’re a big streamer now. That’s awesome.” Jackson replied, “Yeah, I love it man. I get to be a big kid.” White closed the exchange with, “Well, you always had the personality for that shit. Good for you.”

The moment was brief, but the history is real. Jackson became a star in Pride before entering the UFC in 2007, knocked out Marvin Eastman in his Octagon debut, then stopped Chuck Liddell at UFC 71 to win the light heavyweight title. He defended it by beating Dan Henderson at UFC 75, a fight that unified the UFC belt with Pride’s 205-pound title, before losing the championship to Forrest Griffin at UFC 86.
Rampage And Dana Have Plenty Of History Behind One Handshake
Jackson’s UFC run also included the Rashad Evans feud from The Ultimate Fighter 10, a decision loss to Evans at UFC 114, wins over Lyoto Machida and Matt Hamill, and a title challenge against Jon Jones at UFC 135. Jackson’s pro MMA record stands at 38-14, with his final MMA bout coming against Fedor Emelianenko at Bellator 237 in 2019.
That background is why this did not feel like two random fight celebrities bumping into each other backstage. Brand Risk 14 already had chaos all over it, from Johnny Manziel stopping Bob Menery to Ray J getting finished by Supah Hot Fire, but Rampage and Dana sharing a friendly moment still cut through the noise.
No handshake erases years of friction. But after the old UFC business, public shots, and weird MMA history between them, Rampage calling him “Uncle Dana” while White praised his streaming career made for a pretty wild little reunion.
