A welterweight bout between Neil Magny and Shavkat Rakhmonov is taking place now (Saturday, June 25, 2022) at UFC Vegas 57.
Round 1
Magny with some kicks early on. Rakhmonov catches one and puts Magny down. Rakhmonov is in Magny’s half guard before posturing up and landing ground and pound. Magny threatens with up kicks. Rakhmonov nearly gets the full mount but Magny wall walks to get out. Magny threatens with a leg lock but Rakhmonov continues to control him. Rakhmonov gets out and returns on top to end the round. Clear round for Rakhmonov.
Round 2
Both fighters exchange jabs early on. Rakhmonov with a spinning back kick to the body before clinching Magny against the fence. Rakhmonov ends up taking him down and passes to side control. Rakhmonov transitions to the back but Magny scrambles. Rakhmonov is still on top and in control. Rakhmonov is landing strikes but not big ones as Magny continues to defend well. Rakhmonov transitions to the guillotine and gets the tap with just seconds remaining in the second round!
