Dustin Poirier shared his reaction to the news of Conor McGregor returning against Michael Chandler as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter before a fight.

The Louisiana bruiser was last seen inside the cage opposite Chandler at UFC 281 three months ago. Chandler started off strong and appeared to get the better of Poirier early in the bout. Poirier recovered quickly and dispatched Chandler in the third round with a rear-naked choke to get back in the winning column.

In a recent tweet, Dustin Poirier reacted to the fight news of Conor McGregor facing Chandler in his comeback following a season as a coach on the next edition of the reality mixed martial arts competition show The Ultimate Fighter. Holding wins over both McGregor and Chandler, Poirier needed only a few words to express his thoughts.

“TUF all my children edition,” he wrote.

UFC middleweight Derek Brunson weighed in, writing, “Cold blooded.”

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor stands as the most popular MMA fighter of all time with unparalleled pay-per-view sales numbers under his belt. Despite a lack of activity in the last seven years, he’s still the biggest draw in the sport and makes headlines regularly for actions outside the octagon.

As expected, the reactions from the combat sports community flooded in after the announcement of McGregor’s comeback.

Social media sensation turned boxer Jake Paul commented: “Boxing fans should learn from MMA fans to support fighters. McGregor 1-3 in his last four fights. Choked out, knocked out. His opponent is 1-3 in his last four fights, knocked out and choked out. But it’s a massive fight and the fans don’t care one bit.”

Brunson wrote: “Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler coaching TUF then fighting ! This should bring some life back to TUF.”

Diana Belbita weighed in, writing, “I want to see Michael Chandler as a TUF coach.”

Conor McGregor will coach TUF opposite Chandler till mid-August with a fight targeted after the season concludes.
