UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier hobbled in on crutches after absorbing way-too-many kicks made it difficult to bend his right leg. He had stitches in his face, may have broken his left hand.
Poirier stunned Gaethje with a left hand in the fourth round and won by TKO in an epic battle Saturday night (April 14, 2018) inside Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. But both lightweight strikers earned “Fight of the Night” bonuses.
Dustin Poirier demands title shot after finishing Justin Gaethje cold. Even UFC president Dana White confirms Poirier is ‘absolutely’ a title contender after Saturday night extravaganza. Poirier stretches to 7-1 with one no-contest since his 2014 TKO loss to former two-division champion Conor McGregor.

Before he stepped back in the gym and prepare for that potential title fight, Dustin Poirier needs some time to heal his leg from which got damaged by Gaethje’s low kicks.
