After almost three and a half years of of fake, boring, and sugar cookie soft MMA fighters controlling the sport, the MMA Gods may have finally graced us with the return of the only fighter capable of returning the sport to its former greatness.
“The New York Badass” himself, Phil Baroni may be returning to MMA.
This innocuous tweet from Phil Baroni cohort/crypto-strip club pioneer partner Stephan Bonnar seemed to go under the radar, and it hints at a return of The Best Eva. And good MMA Lords in Heaven are we excited.

How much do I believe that “The Poet” Phillip Baroni will grace regional promotion 864 Fighting with his regal presence? Ahhh, time will tell. But truth be told, there isn’t another MMA Legend I would rather see comeback. Let’s please just make sure he is fighting another MMA legend worthy of his stature. Not some regional jabroni, you know?
What is for sure is that 864 Fighting is definitely making some regional waves. Beyond the Phil Baroni rumors, Stephan Bonnar confirmed in December that he will be commentating for them for 2018. If you are gonna start an MMA promotion, there aren’t many better ways to start.
