This human body we all live in, man. People have endured being stuck in the frigid plains of Antarctica for weeks with little food and water and survived, but sometimes a small freak accident will occur that will contort the body beyond it’s threshold, making a part (or parts) snap instantaneously. This morning at ONE FC: Rise to Power, we saw one of those incidents, and unfortunately it happened to our bud Phil Baroni. We’re not quite sure the set of movements that occurred in the first round of his fight against Nobutatsu Suzuki, but it appears that while defending himself against the cage from a fists salad, Baroni managed to break his right ankle, and the ref quickly stepped in.
