Whether it was for her performance or her post-fight celebration, Ailín Pérez turned some heads at UFC Paris.
Argentina has a contender moving up the ranks of the women’s bantamweight division as Pérez notched her fourth-straight victory on Saturday, submitting fellow prospect Darya Zheleznyakova (9-1) in a matter of minutes. It was a dominant effort for Pérez in round 1, who secured the takedown and then the arm-triangle choke from top position.

That’s not all “Fiona” did, however. Shortly after making her opponent tap, Pérez would twerk right in the face of Zheleznyakova as he rose back to her feet.
“I Khabib’d the Russian and then twerked on her #UFCParis #AilinNurmagomedov,” Pérez wrote following her submission win in Paris, France.
“The level of disrespect. My word,” MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani reacted to Perez’ twerking.
What Sparked The Move
So, what exactly brought about the 29 year-old’s wild post-fight celebration? Other the obvious bragging rights won in the moment, Pérez said the lead-up to her fight was anything but one-sided, citing Zheleznyakova had been disrespectful to her.
“My friend @arielhelwani, Darya said some very disrespectful things about me before the fight so I had to do it I would love to tell you more about it on your NEW show,” Pérez revealed on ‘X’.

Tracy Cortez vs. Ailín Pérez
The fight week fun didn’t stop there for Pérez, who has been going back-and-forth with flyweight contender Tracy Cortez, especially after her weight miss by .6lbs on Friday. You might recall Cortez missed weight on her first attempt for her fight with Rose Namajunas, cutting off some of her hair to make the flyweight limit.
Cortez went off on Perez for her weight miss, creating a rivalry we never knew we needed.

Despite the ranked contenders being in different weight classes from each other, Perez would call out the smaller Tracy Cortez for a fight at 135lbs.
“Hey @TracyCortezmma, if you want to fight, let’s do it. You fought at 135 before. I’ll even make weight this time for you, I promise or you scared and are going to block me like you do your replies on X.
“Tracy is scared because she talks a lot about me without tagging me,” Pérez responded to Cortez saying she was unbothered following her performance. “I’m not surprised being that you lost to a strawweight.”
