Paulo Costa Goes Off On Yoel Romero, Soon Will Announce His Next Fight
Earlier this month it was announced that a hard-hitting middleweights Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa matchup was targeted for UFC on ESPN 3 on April 27 however the bout failed to come to fruition after “Soldier of God” claimed on Ariel Helwani MMA show that ‘Borrachinha’ tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. Now Romero will rematch Ronaldo Souza.
Costa was disturbed by the accusations, and he recently goes off on a former two-time 185-pound title contender in an Instagram post saying he never doped like Romero.
“Increasing my luck daily, definitely my opponents will not be happy,” Costa wrote on Instagram after a hard workout. “Soon very good news and my next fight. Romero don’t know what fuck shit he says. I’m not using steroids, I’ve never doped like him.”
Costa’s manager recently said Romero is lying as ‘The Eraser’ is not doped and has been tested the most by USADA.
Even back in 2017 after squashing Johny Hendricks at the UFC 217 (PPV) event in New York, Paulo Costa arose into the top 15 of the UFC official rankings. Following his victory MMA community talked about his muscular physique, it drew some criticism even some accused him of doping. On those allegations, Costa said he fights clean and had been tested many times by USADA.
Costa (12-0) is undefeated in MMA, and he last fought back in July 2018 against Uriah Hall where Paulo won the fight via second-round TKO. Currently, he sits at no.7 in official rankings with four straight wins in the Octagon.
