Paulo Costa Out Of UFC Atlantic City Fight With Uriah Hall Due To Bicep Injury

Rising middleweight Paulo Henrique Costa aka ‘Borrachinha,’ was scheduled to face Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 128 on Sat., April 21, 2018, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Unfortunately, Costa will no longer be competing against Hall, as Combate reported, Costa injured his bicep (partial tear) that occurred during a training session, that forced him out of his scheduled fight.

It is still unclear whether or not Uriah Hall will remain atop the FOX Sports 1 fight card.

Later ‘Borrachinha’ himself confirmed the news via social media:

“This is not good news for my fans,” Costa wrote on Instagram. “I had a serious injury, partial breaking of bicipes ligament. I know that you are excited to see me again and I am too , but i need some more time to return to show all my potential to you in the cage, soon you will see me again. Probably in June.”

Paulo Costa remained perfect at UFC 217 this past November with a second-round TKO of former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks in New York. It was his third TKO finish in three UFC fights.

UFC Fight Night 128 is set to take place April 21 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. The main event headlined by the lightweight scrap between Edson Barboza and Kevin Lee.
