Patrick Cote has been released from the UFC

Patrick Cote made his UFC return at UFC 113 since slipping on the Bud Light logo and severely messing up his leg at UFC 90. I’m going to side with Fightlinker and go with the conspiracy theory on this one folks. The Bud Light logo so obviously screwed up Cote’s knee that it almost has comedic value. You could literally make a Fox sitcom based on the fact that Cote slipped on the Bud Light logo and no one bothers to acknowledge it. Granted, it would be a horrible show on an equally horrible time-slot. Check out this .gif of Cote losing his footing on the octagon logo and instantly become agitated at corporate sponsorship.

In his UFC return, Cote was caught in a rear naked choke by Alan Belcher in the second round which wasn’t exactly the triumph return he hoped for. This past weekend, Tom Lawlor grabbed a unanimous decision over the original French-Canadian which has resulted in the UFC deadly flying guillotine being applied directly to Cote’s neck. Bummer.
